Research by specialist buy-to-let lender Paragon Mortgages has revealed that adding flats and semi-detached houses to rental property portfolios, has increased in popularity amongst landlords.

New research from BM Solutions shows that Buy to Let (BTL) investors have seen average gross rental yields edge up to 6.2% in June 2012, compared to 6.0% 12 months earlier.

Landlords in Yorkshire and Humberside have topped the rental yield league table during the second quarter, achieving an average yield of 6.8%, according to new research from Paragon Mortgages.
