CML responds to Bank of England lending data
The Bank of England mortgage approvals data shows a less dramatic slowdown in mortgage approvals than preliminary surveys had suggested, the CML has said.

Thames Gateway plans unveiled

UK House prices fell at their biggest level for 12 years during November, Nationwide has said.

UK Green Building Council to scope out new 2016 zero carbon delivery body
One of the key recommendations of today’s Callcutt Review of house building is being taken forward immediately by the UK Green Building Council, Housing Minister Yvette Cooper has announced.

House prices fall for the second consecutive month
House prices fell for the second month in a row over November with average values falling by 0.2% – this follows a 0.1% fall in October. The year on year rate of growth has fallen back to +3.6% which represents the lowest rate of growth since July 2006.

Mortgage approvals lowest for 3 years
The Bank of England has reported that the number of mortgage approvals has fallen to its lowest level for nearly three years.
