Nationwide updates its mortgage rates

Nationwide Building Society has announced changes to its rates on some of its fixed rate and tracker mortgages.

The new rates are available from Wednesday 1 August 2007 and are as follows:

Home Mover
Two year tracker (with £599 fee) available from: 5.48%
Two year tracker (no fee) available from: 5.88%
Lifetime tracker (no fee) available from: 5.99%
Remortgage and Additional Borrowing

Two year fixed rate (with £499 fee) available from: 6.24%
Two year fixed rate (no fee) available from: 6.64%
Two year fixed rate (with £999 fee) available from: 6.08%
Three year fixed rate (with £499 fee) available from: 6.38%
Five year fixed rate (with £599 fee) available from: 6.18%
Ten year fixed rate (with £499 fee) available from: 6.18%
Two year tracker (with £599 fee) available from: 5.68%
Two year tracker (no fee) available from: 6.08%
Lifetime tracker (no fee) available from: 6.09%

Existing Nationwide mortgage customers get a £100 discount off their reservation fee when they switch from one Nationwide product to another, buy a new home or borrow additional monies.

Nationwide will withdraw the current products at 11.59pm on Tuesday 31 July 2007.
