New figures from the Bank Of England report mortgage lending in the UK falling to a 12-month low in April.
A total of 107,000 mortgage approvals were granted in April down from 111,000 approvals in March, making it the third monthly decline in a row.
Additionally signs of a slowdown in the market were starting to show with the value of home loans rising by £8.9bn, down from March’s £9.9bn.
