Due to general sentiment that the Irish market is nearing saturation, combined with a lack of new affordable properties in the marketplace, Irish property investors are looking at alternative investment markets.
Eastern Europe proves an attractive proposition with capital growth being quoted at up to 30% per annum, but a lack of a secondary market and an absence of historical economic stability indicate a very risky investment.
In response to the demand for alternative opportunities, TIC, the UK’s leading Property Investment Company, spent September in Ireland introducing UK opportunities to Irish investors.
Considering its geographic proximity and a stable economy bolstered by a 40-year strong property market, the UK presents a prime opportunity for overseas investors.
After arriving in Dublin on 8 September, 2006, TIC Portfolio Managers joined Director of Operations, Ben Ganley and TIC Chairman, Glenn Reindel at the ‘Investment Property Exhibition’ and the ‘Invest in Property’ show, before being interviewed on Cork’s 103fm to discuss the benefits of investing in UK property. TIC also held four free, no-obligation TIC seminars in Dublin, which were attended by dozens of potential new investors.
Since launching in Ireland, a number of interested attendees have contacted TIC to discuss potential property investment in the UK, with the first influx paying the investment group a visit in mid-October to take their first step up the UK property ladder.
Following a short flight to London, guests were whisked to TIC Head Office in Mayfair, London where they enjoyed one-on-one meetings with a Portfolio Manager, discussed finance and mortgage options and ran through cash flow statements to gauge projected returns on their investments before purchasing several units in the North of England.
This level of personal attention is not limited to Irish clients ? all TIC Members receive a dedicated Portfolio Manager to advise them on new deals, guide them through the TIC end-to-end investment journey (which includes TIC LEGAL, TIC MORTGAGES and TIC LETTINGS) and inform them of ways to maximise their investments. Craig Jordan, TIC Member, said “I honestly believe that had I joined TIC five or ten years ago, I would be in a position to retire today.”
Due to continued demand for meetings with other potential Irish investors, TIC will be returning to Dublin in early November.
If you’d like to attend a seminar, meet a Portfolio Manager or find our more about how to embark on your own property investment journey with TIC, please call 020 7907 2020 or email them.
If you can’t make it to Dublin, don’t worry ? TIC say to tell them where and when is convenient to meet and they’ll come to you.
