Figures from PermanentTSB and ESRI in Ireland have showed that the average price of a house for first-time buyers passed the 250k euro mark for the first time in January.

£360bn waiting for inheritance
Halifax Financial Services (HFS)has estimated that over £360bn in today’s money of housing assets will pass from one generation to another over the next 15 years.
Additionally, the value of housing assets left in wills every year may have more than doubled from £14bn in 2002/3 to £32bn in today’s money by 2020.

Asking prices breach £200,000
The average asking price of a home in England and Wales has passed the £200,000 barrier due to renewed demand from buyers, a report from Rightmove.co.uk has said.
